About us

New Hampshire Special Education & Life After High School was created by Janneth Dunleavy, an education student at the University of New Hampshire. As an immigrant and a mother, Janneth understands how confusing the special education and transition processes can feel, especially for families who speak languages other than English. Her goal is to make information simple, welcoming, and culturally responsive so every family can advocate confidently for their child.

This project began with a clear purpose: to bridge the information gap for families navigating special education and preparing for life after high school. Based in Barrington, New Hampshire, we are committed to providing accessible, clear, and comprehensive resources, particularly for our non‑English‑speaking communities. Our dedication ensures every family feels supported, informed, and empowered.

Empowering families with knowledge

We aim to simplify the special education journey by offering detailed guides, legal insights, and practical advice. Our resources are designed to be easily understandable, empowering families to make informed decisions for their children's future.
